During the 5 years after the defeat of the Calypso twins, 4 new weapon manufacturers have appeared
S&S Munitions[]
Originally the S&S Munitions company had gone near bankrupt, put out of business by the much cheaper and readily available Bandit firearms. But by studying ancient artifacts belonging to an unknown alien species, they have developed "Über" technology, which launched them back into relevancy.
Each S&S munitions fire-arm comes with a "Über mode". A bar that is filled up by dealing damage, and once full can be activated in order to receive a powerful albeit short lasting boost.
Their products have a utilitarian, blocky design. Their basic products follow a German naming patter (often misspelled), and their unique ones often have names inspired by Norse mythology.
Titan[]
For most of it's existence Titan had been a purely mining focused manufacturer, only recently have they diversified into weaponry and shields.
Their weapons are bulky and rugged. Their naming scheme is based around mining, metals and minerals.
Many of their products slow down the user, but deal heavy damage and grant a percentage damage resistance when equipped. Their weapons fire explosive gyrojets, conventional bullets and powerful mining lasers. Some of their weapons also have a drill bayonet, that deals constant high damage but greatly slows down the user while active
Hydra[]
A newcomer founded by a coalition of wealthy business magnates, Hydra promises ludicrous damage at good fire rate but with a steep ammo cost.
Hydra weapons have a sleek, almost organic looking design, and often feature multiple barrels. Their naming scheme is based around ancient Greek and Roman mythology.
All of their weapons fire a minimum of two projectiles per shot, and are capable of reaching upwards of 6 or 7. Most of their weapons also consume multiple ammo per shot and suffer from high recoil. The user can deal a lot of damage very quickly, albeit inaccurately
