I.G.P.D. is a weapons manufacturer in Borderlands V. All I.G.P.D. weapons will always burst fire even when not scoped in. The weapon card will not display magazine size or reload speed, this is because I.G.P.D. weapons do not feed from the magazine but rather directly from the total bullets you have. Functionally they are treated as if they have a 1 round magazine that does not need to be reloaded similar to the Infinity pistol.

Bonuses to magazine size and reload speed are converted into accuracy and recoil reduction bonuses respectively at a rate of 50%. This means that if the player has a 50% magazine size boost, they will instead receive 25% increased accuracy.

I.G.P.D. weapons can easily be recognized by their futuristic design, blue and white color patters and red glowing lights on the side of the weapon. They follow a police or S.W.A.T. inspired naming scheme

Gun Appearance by Quality 

• White: Rusted, pale white and blue.
• Green: White and blue with a red siren like light on the side
• Blue: dark blue and purple with a red with a red and blue siren like light on the side.
• Purple: Black and blue with the I.G.P.D. logo printed on the side.

Trivia 

• Only I.G.P.D. troops can be found using and dropping I.G.P.D. weapons.
• Even though I.G.P.D. Renegades are never found using I.G.P.D. weapons they can still drop them upon death.
